Meet Your Hosts: The Andersons
Hello Friends! We are the Andersons!
Ben grew up on his family's legacy beef cattle ranch in Western ND, leaving only to obtain his degree in Animal & Range Science from NDSU. Janelle grew up on a small family farm with every farm animal possible in Wisconsin. When we married, we moved back to the Family Ranch and started their own cow-calf ranching operation.
In the spring of 2022, our family heeded God’s call to leave our cow-calf operation in Western ND, to start over on raw land in rural Northern Wayne County, Tennessee. Over the next six months, our family sold all of our cattle, milk cow, chickens, and home while having a builder build the shell of our future home in TN.
We made our way to Tennessee in September of 2022. In the last eight months, we have been busy finishing our family home, setting up infrastructure for the farmstead, breaking ground and growing our first-ever garden, raising multiple rounds of meat birds to sell to the neighboring communities, and building a community to fill the gaps as well as barter and trade with.
We know the importance of proper animal husbandry on ther farm, which in turn not only saves money down the line but also frustration. Join us as we share our knowledge with our community.
